Along with permanently sited sculptures, Grizedale also has a vibrant calendar of events taking place throughout the year. For a fun family day of energetic adventure there are some excellent walking and cycling trails weaving through the extensive woodlands. If you enjoy the high life, the onsite GoApe offers 3 impressive tree top zip wire adventures and forest segways for some extra adrenaline fuelled activities – suitable for all ages from 6+ upwards.
If you’re after some escapism, there are plenty of quiet spots for you to relax, take in the forest views and spot wildlife and artworks. For welcome sustenance Grizedale provides handy benches for picnics around the visitor centre or you can always make a pit stop at Grizedale Café, conveniently situated next to the outdoor adventure play area.
