The North Pole Jazz Lounge is a magical place with a very special guest. It’s a wintery evening and it’s snowing outside, so come into the warm and join the Jazz Penguin…

We hear the tale of how the Penguin found the Jazz, on an adventure around the world meeting a variety of different musical animals from dancing eggs to a drumming Octopus. Expect tooting, trumpeting and bopping in this hilarious and Christmassy celebration of music. The Legend of the Jazz Penguin features original music, brilliant puppetry and lots of fun interaction that will have children jumping for joy.

The Royal Ballet’s glorious production of The Nutcracker, created by Peter Wright in 1984, is the production par excellence of an all-time ballet favourite. It is Christmas Eve and Herr Drosselmeyer the magician sweeps young Clara away on a fantasy adventure in which time is suspended, the family living-room becomes a great battlefield, and a magical journey takes them through the Land of Snow to the Kingdom of Sweets. Tchaikovsky’s glittering score, the gorgeous festive stage designs, and The Royal Ballet’s captivating dancing including an exquisite pas de deux between the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Prince, make this Nutcracker the quintessential Christmas experience.

Pixel, Crash & Click are not your normal penguins. Safe in their igloo, they play their way through life with screens and games, whizzing and karting along until one day, the power goes off! Led by Pixel, the three penguins step out of their igloo for the first time. They embark upon an adventure of discovery and magic, following cracks in the ice, scaling enormous mountains and swimming in freezing lakes. Stepping outside may have been the biggest adventure yet!

Expect flamboyant costumes and water-tight vocal harmonising from the “effortlessly funny” musical trio, ShooShooBaby. A wonderful array of Christmas songs from the 1920’s – 2019, are performed on an eye-watering number of instruments including the piano, the zither, the musical saw and the kazoo. ShooShooBaby have been appreciated by audiences all over the world (fans include Stephen Fry and Sir Ian McKellen) and have earned themselves a reputation for the quality of their singing and musicianship.
